Would you like to get one free credit check for your credit information?

You may be allowed one free credit check. Only certain circumstances enable you to get one free credit check.

You are entitled to one free credit check if you have been denied credit for anything you have applied for. Also if you have been denied coverage for insurance or employment within the last 60 days because of information supplied by a credit bureau, you are eligible for a free credit check. The company that you applied to must provide you with the name of the credit bureau that the information came from.

Once you have a copy of your one free credit check then review all the information documented. You can ask the credit reporting agency for a dispute form to be completed and submitted with any mistakes you find on your report and there is no fee for this. When supplying documents to back up your disputes do not send originals. Always keep originals on file for future reference and send in photocopies with your dispute forms.
